Kimber Announces More Pistols in 9mm

Yonkers, New York, April 1, 2008 - Responding to consumer demand, Kimber® is now offering several 1911 models in 9mm for the first time. Like all Kimber pistols, these new models feature match grade barrels, chambers and trigger groups. Equally important, each is made in Kimber's American factory. All 9mm models also have ramped barrels and fully-supported chambers for positive feeding.

The Stainless II 9mm is a full size pistol with 5-inch barrel, and features a stainless steel slide and frame. Retail price is $923.

The Stainless Gold Match II™ 9mm is Kimber's finest production pistol. These full size pistols have an adjustable sight and rosewood grips. For unequaled accuracy, the match grade stainless steel barrel is fitted to the barrel bushing in the Kimber Custom Shop™. Retail price is $1,458.

The Stainless Pro Carry II™ 9mm features a 4-inch bull barrel fitted directly to the slide, yet retains the full length grip of larger pistols. With a satin finish and aluminum frame, it is ten ounces lighter than a standard 1911 with a steel frame. Retail price is $957.

The Stainless Ultra Carry II™ 9mm is ideal for concealed carry. The 3-inch barrel and shortened aluminum frame are favored for all-day-every-day carry by many shooters, and make them popular for law enforcement backup as well. Retail price is $960.

Finally, the Ultra CDP II™ 9mm is Kimber's best 9mm carry pistol. Built in the Custom Shop and weighing just 25 ounces, features include night sights, stainless steel slide, 30 lines-per-inch checkering on the frontstrap and under the trigger guard, ambidextrous thumb safety and hand-beveling that rounds sharp edges so the pistol will not cut or snag on clothing or holsters. Retail price is $1,295.
