Kimber Adds Stainless Steel Version of Raptor in .45 ACP

Yonkers, New York, April 1, 2008 - The Stainless Raptor II™ is the newest addition to the popular Raptor series from the Kimber Custom Shop™. A full size 1911 chambered in .45 ACP, this dynamic pistol features a stainless steel slide and frame with hand-polished flat surfaces contrasting a satin finish over the curves.

Raptor pistols have flat top slides with a back-cut row of scales, along with scaled serrations in the gripping areas and a beavertail grip safety that is bumped and grooved. Scaled frontstraps and logo grip panels continue the theme that gave them their name.

The Stainless Raptor II is topped with Tactical Wedge™ three dot (green) fixed night sights that securely mount in machined dovetails. Grip panes are fine rosewood, and an ambidextrous thumb safety is standard. Like all Kimber® pistols, the Stainless Raptor II barrel, barrel bushing, chamber and trigger group is match grade.

Made entirely in America in the Kimber factory, the Stainless Raptor II establishes new standards for both performance and finish for production pistols. Suggested retail price is $1,417, and these pistols are currently available from 2,000 Kimber Master Dealers.
