Kimber Offers U.S.A. Shooting Team Pistol in 38 Super

Yonkers, New York, April 1, 2008 - Kimber® is now offering the identical pistol used by the U.S.A. Shooting Rapid Fire Pistol Team on the action shooting circuit where they competing against some of the world's fastest guns-the Team Match II™ chambered in 38 Super.

While Team members shoot Olympic competition with rimfire target pistols, they sharpen their skills by competition in action shooting events. When this program began several years ago, the Team came to Kimber and asked for a special pistol. Kimber agreed, building a premium model that would also be offered to the public and offering to donate $100 from the sale of each one to the Team. This program was successful beyond expectations. To date, Kimber has contributed $600,000 to the U.S.A. Shooting Team, more than any other firearms company in history.

Team Match II pistols are available in both .45 ACP and 38 Super. Standard features include slide and frame machined from stainless steel, adjustable sight, 30 lines-per-inch checkering on the front strap, extended and beveled magazine well and special red, white and blue Team logo grips. Like all Kimber pistols, they incorporate match grade barrels, barrel bushings, chambers and triggers, and are made entirely in America. Suggested list price is 1,451.
