Yonkers, New York, January 18, 2011 – At the 2011 SHOT Show, Kimber^® owner and CEO Leslie Edelman presented a $78,500 check to the U.S.A. Shooting Team, the latest installment in a successful partnership based on sales of the Kimber Team Match II^® pistol. This check increased Kimber's total contribution to $840,000, by far the largest donation from a firearms company in Team history.

To prepare for Olympic competition, members of the U.S.A. Shooting Rapid Fire Pistol Team train in head-to-head competition with professional shooters on the national action shooting circuit. Accustomed to shooting the world's most accurate pistols, the Team chose Kimber to build their guns in .45 ACP and 9mm. Kimber offers the identical model – the Team Match II^® – to the public, and donates $100 from the sale of each of these premium pistols to the Team.

The Team Match II has a stainless steel slide and frame, along with an adjustable rear sight. Custom features include 30 lines-per-inch front strap checkering, extended and beveled magazine well for fast loading, and match grade barrel, chamber and trigger group. Red, white and blue grips with the Team logo set it apart from everything else at the range.
