YONKERS, NY,  — Kimber Mfg., Inc., a leading American firearms manufacturer, today announced  the release of the new Kimber® Supalpine™ and Open Country rifles, three new Hunter calibers and a new stock color option for the Mountain Ascent™.

Year after year Kimber mountain rifles prove to be the best value on the market today and the top choice for hunters – no matter where the hunt takes them. Like all Kimber rifles, each mountain rifle is built to the Kimber SUB MOA Accuracy Standard, which states that each rifle will shoot a three-shot group at 100 yards measuring one-inch or less with premium factory ammunition.

Kimber Subalpine, the ultimate elk and mule deer rifle, has a reinforced carbon fiber stock wearing the new soft touch Gore™ Optifade™ Subalpine stock treatment. With a starting weight of 4 pounds, 13 ounces, this rifle features a threaded stainless steel fluted barrel, 3-position wing safety, Mauser style extractor for controlled round feeding and a match grade chamber and barrel. It is offered in .308 Win, .280 Ack. Imp., .30-06 Sprg., 300 WSM and .300 Win Mag.

An ideal choice for the long range varmint hunter, the Kimber Open Country™ has a solid carbon fiber stock with pillar bedding and the new soft touch Gore™ Optifade™ Open Country stock treatment.  A match grade stainless steel action, deep fluted heavy barrel and bottom metal wear a gray KimPro® II finish for unmatched durability. Additional features include a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle with thread protector, Mauser style extractor and a match grade trigger that breaks at 3-3.5 pounds.  The Open Country is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.

The Kimber Hunter combines legendary Kimber accuracy and performance with a new patent pending synthetic stock and removable box magazine.  In addition to its current caliber offerings (.243 Win, .257 Roberts, 7mm-08 Rem., .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor) this rifle is now also available in .270 Win, .280 Ack. Imp. and .30-06 Sprg.

Four models of the iconic Kimber Mountain Ascent —.308 Win, .30-06 Sprg., .280 Ack. Imp. and .300 Win Mag— are now available with a new Moss Green reinforced carbon fiber stock.
