Kimber Valier Receives Golden Bullseye for Shotgun of the Year
Yonkers, New York, March 20, 2006
The Kimber® Valier™ has been selected as the 2006 American Rifleman Shotgun of the Year. As such, Kimber will be presented with a Golden Bullseye Award at a ceremony on May 19th.
A firearm is only considered as a Golden Bullseye candidate only if it passes stringent standards which include:
- Being reliable in the field, and meeting or exceeding evaluator expectations.
- Being innovative in design and function.
- Being readily perceived as a value to the purchaser.
- Being styled in a manner befitting the firearms industry and its enthusiasts.
The Kimber Valier is a light, lively and properly scaled side-by-side bird gun available in 16 or 20 gauge. Traditionally featured in the best British style, the Valier is a true seven-pin, hand-detachable sidelock, the hallmark of the world's most highly regarded and valuable shotguns. The 26-inch or 28-inch Belgian rust blued barrels have traditional fixed chokes. The receiver, trigger guard, lever, bolsters and forend furniture wear fifty percent hand-engraving coverage in the classic scroll pattern. Both gauges are built on minimally scaled frames and exhibit the "between-the-hands" balance and feel expected from a lively game gun.
Suggested retail prices begin at $3,899. Available separately is a fitted takedown case for $340. Renowned shotgun author and expert Richard S. Grozik assists Kimber customers with all shotgun purchases and is available at (888) 243-4522, extension 237.
