Africa & Alaska
Dangerous game is best hunted with a rifle intended for that purpose. Beyond the obvious requirement of proper caliber; useful sights, magazine capacity, balance and recoil recovery become something more than features to discuss. Then there is dependability. Dependability is everything.
The Model 8400 Caprivi™ is chambered in .375 H&H and .458 Lott - which also fires .458 Win. Mag. ammunition but has twenty percent more energy. It has a full-length Mauser claw for controlled round feeding and extraction, plus a 3-position wing safety. The receiver is glass and pillar bedded into the properly shaped stock. Magazine capacity is 4 rounds. The stock is formed from a stunning AA-French blank tipped with ebony.
The November, 2007, issue of American Rifleman reports the Caprivi is "...the most accurate factory-made bolt gun of its type we've tested." Not lately - ever. Sub-MOA groups with factory solids. These rifles are ready for anything.
The Model 8400 Talkeetna™ in .375 H&H is designed to take everything hunting Alaska can throw at it. The stainless steel barreled action rides in Kimber's Kevlar-reinforced synthetic stock - the best of its kind ever offered on a production rifle.

Caprivi and Talkeetna models have both pillar and glass bedding. The caprivi also has twin crossbolts for integrity.

The Caprivi stock is classic African in every respect. A traditional pancake cheekpiece and inletted swivel stud are standard.

The Caprivi features a 3-leaf island rear express sight, 1 standing and 2 folding. The Talkeetna has a fixed single leaf.
