Kimber Introduces Mid-Size 1911 with Barrel Threaded for Suppression

Yonkers, New York — December 15, 2014— Kimber® has announced the introduction of a specialized mid-size .45 ACP with the same features as those pistols built for law enforcement and tactical teams with the addition of a barrel threaded for suppression (TFS). The Pro TLE™ IITFS features a 4.5-inch bushingless bull barrel threaded for suppression fitted directly to the slide without the aid of a bushing. Both frame and slide are machined from steel.  Overall weight makes this pistol easier to control under recoil, as does the standard length of the grip.

Standard features of the TLE family include Kimber® 3-dot tritium (green) night sights mounted in slide dovetails and 30 lines-per-inch front strap checkering.  Like all Kimber® 1911 pistols, the Pro TLE II TFS has a slide and frame paired and hand-fitted early in production, a stainless steel match grade barrel, lowered and flared ejection port and is made in America.  Suggested retail price is $1,224.
