Kimber Introduces Two .45 ACP 1911s Threaded for Suppression and Designed for Hard Use
Yonkers, NY — December 15, 2014 — Based on the pistol created for an elite Marine Detachment assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command, the Warrior® SOC TFS (Special Operations Capable, Threaded for Suppression) and Dessert Warrior TFS .45 ACP are full-size 1911 pistols built for absolute dependability under extreme conditions. These newest members of the Warrior family feature a steel frame, 5.5-inch barrel threaded for suppression and barrel bushing, and Kimber Tactical Wedge tritium 3-dot night sights.
The Warrior SOC includes a removable Crimson Trace® Rail Master™ laser sight, ensuring that if you can see, you can shoot. The tan/green KimPro® II finish on the slide and frame is durable, self-lubricating and offers exceptional resistance to the elements. Additional features include an ambidextrous thumb safety, bumped and grooved grip safety, G-10 grips with aggressive texture and a lanyard ring. The Desert Warrior TFS features include a lanyard loop, ambidextrous thumb safety, bumped and grooved beavertail grip safety and bumper pad on the magazine. Both the frame and slide wear a tan KimPro II finish and the tactical G-10 grips are light tan.
Like all Kimber® 1911 pistols, the Warrior SOC TFS and Desert Warrior TFS have standard features which include a slide and frame paired and hand-fitted early in production, stainless steel match grade barrel, chamber and trigger, lowered and flared ejection port and steel sights securely mounted in slide dovetails. Made in America to unequaled quality standards, each pistol promises a lifetime of trouble-free performance. The Warrior SOC TFS has a suggested retail price of $1,738, and the Desert Warrior TFS of $1,586. Both models are available from Kimber Master Dealers across America.
