New Kimber 1911 Carry Pistols Make a Bold Statement

Yonkers, New York — December 15, 2014 — Combining dynamic style with a host of performance enhancing details, the new Sapphire Pro™ II 9mm and the Onyx Ultra™ II 9mm and .45 ACP from the Kimber® Custom Shop™ are striking personal defense pistols. Thin micarta grips and a short trigger ensure a perfect fit, even for shooters with smaller hands. Light 9mm recoil makes these pistols easy to handle and speeds sight recovery between shots; the .45 ACP offered in the Ultra-sized platform combines power with concealability.

The highly-polished stainless steel slide is accented with fine engraving and small parts wear a durable sapphire blue or onyx black PVD finish. The Ultra size, which has a 3-inch barrel and compact frame weighing in at just 25 ounces, is easy to carry and conceal. The Pro size has a 4-inch barrel, full size frame and weighs 28 ounces, offering a perfect combination of power and size. Both the Sapphire Pro II and the Onyx Ultra II have rounded and blended edges, a treatment that ensures comfort both in hand and next to the body while preventing snags on clothing or holsters. A round heel aluminum frame (on Ultra models) with satin silver finish, ambidextrous thumb safety and Tactical Wedge tritium night sights combined with specialized 1911 features complete the package.

These Special Edition pistols are available at Kimber Master Dealer locations across America. Suggested retail price for Sapphire Pro II is $1,652. Suggested retail for the Onyx Ultra II in 9mm and .45 ACP is $1,652.
