New Kimber Hunting Rifle for Long Range Specialists
Yonkers, New York, April 1, 2008 - The new Kimber® Model 8400™ Sonora™ is specifically designed for hunters who value long-range accuracy above all else in a rifle. Chambered in .25-06 Rem., .30-06 Spfd. or .300 Win. Mag., the Sonora is all business.
Standard features include an ultra-stable brown laminated stock and a fluted stainless steel match grade barrel machined to a heavy sporter contour. The barrel is free floated and the action is locked down with both pillar and glass bedding. An extra sling swivel stud is included up front for bipod mounting.
Like other Kimber rifles, the Sonora has a 1-inch Pachmayr Decelerator pad that sponges up recoil, three-position wing safety and a full-length Mauser claw extractor for true controlled round feeding and extraction. Also, the Sonora is manufactured entirely in Kimber's American factory.
In hunting situations where portability is secondary, such as from blinds or stands, the performance of a Kimber Sonora is unequaled. Suggested retail price is $1,359.
